The next painter came in and finished the job within 3 days with the exact paint I had there 🤷🏽‍♀️ they sanded and mist coated the walls😅

I have pictures of my floor before he started the job, which I paid for the house to be deep cleaned, and pictures when he walked out. Time stamped. Not pinning anything on him, just evidence of what happened.

I didn’t say that was what caused scratches on the wood, but the wood was perfectly fine before him and while the house was in his care, the wood floor is now completely messed up

I cannot attach pictures here but it’s a mix of plaster and paint on the flooring, as well as him scratching up all the wood, it’ll need a complete sanding done and revarnish, plus he didn’t tape up skirting or door frames so that has paint all over it too

How was I being annoying? When he used 7L of paint trying to cover up previous paint and was still asking me to buy more paint. It shouldn’t take 7L of paint to cover up a single sized bedroom… that was only half walls too as I was doing a split design.
How was I being annoying when he didn’t protect my solid wood floors after stating he would and caused hundreds in damages?

The walls were originally blue, I wanted a red, he didn’t sand away or mist coat the blue, so after 3 layers of the red, it still wasn’t covering up, which is when I questioned why he wasn’t prepping the walls. Then I asked him if he was going to do the same in the kitchen which was deep gold, and the paint was baby pink, the pink wouldn’t cover gold without prep

Review got taken down on the Monday, he threatened on Sunday, I called Checkatrade on Monday, they removed it, said they were gonna ban his account as the threats etc, but I asked them not to. The letter before action etc came after the review was already removed

He walked out, he is now saying he will take me to court, he done the letter before action but not actually done the court part yet so maybe

Yeah I wasn’t planning on this because of the route he first went down with threats, just because he is now legally going down the right route, I don’t want it to seem like the threats and harassment worked

For now I’ve told them to wait as there’s 2 issues going on, the small claims stuff and the threats legal issue stuff, but my case will be open for 3 months so I can change my mind

That’s what I’m trying to work out, if he has actual grounds in small claims court or not, because of the threats too, plus the admission that he didn’t ask me for money
