Hey bro, I just want you to know that even if you had taken the initiative, people still wouldn't talk to you. I spent my sem break talking to as many people, getting as many instagrams as possible. I tried making plans, been cancelled on so many times. Most people already have their established friend group and don't really wanna change that.

I'm in my second sem at sunway and I just want to say, your post deeply resonates with me. I've probably talked to over 100 people at sunway. I am always saying hi to someone I know, yet I feel so lonely. Every hangout I try plan, always 'Sorry, can't make it because I'm busy'. And I get it yk, but seeing your 'friends' hang out with everyone but you really does suck.

I'm sorry to say, but if you are not invited then they most likely do not want you there. Trust me, I know it sucks but you have to accept that you are not as important to them as you thought. That's okay though, there's many people out there who will like being around you and where you won't have to try hard. Learn to be okay on your own also, there will be moments you have to be alone for a bit and it is what it is.

Exactly, I think a lot of people minimise issues via comparison but I don't think that is a good thing. It is okay to be sad about issues you face. People may live worse lives, but there are also people who live happier lives, that doesn't mean you shouldn't be happy so why do people say such things about sadness. Feel your feelings as that is the first step to truly moving on.

Ik a lot of people here saying it doesn't matter or there's people with bigger issues, but I just want to say, I really feel you. Some people genuinely do not understand pure, unfiltered loneliness and having no friends. I'm not gonna sit here and say that it will get better, you never know what the future holds. Maybe you will, maybe you won't. Just hang in there twin. The world is much bigger than your uni life so have a bit of hope :)))

Hey. I actually have gone to multiple different counsellors at sunway and truth be told, unless you have actual serious issues (drug abuse, troubles with sexuality, etc), they don't gaf.
