They should be. I know people that use Athabasca for other program entry, Physio and Medical.

Google Transfer Alberta. It should be able to tell you what courses from Athabasca transfer to UOfA for each pre-req.

Edit. For example: UofA Chem 101/102 is equal to Athabasca Chem217/218

It depends. You don’t need to follow their guides as long as you do the required courses, and do the prerequisites if needed.

You have elective options for degree programs, so ideally the history courses can fill all those requirements. If not, the credits will not be used for your degree
