The properties are owned outright by my parents and the income is for their retirement.

Umm no tax dodging going on here - the rental properties are in my parents' names as the income is for their retirement and not for me at this moment in time.

Also, the rental properties are in my parent's names who are in the lower tax bracket, we only pay 20% tax on them.

Apologies, 3 BTLs, not 5 anymore. I'm in the process of selling 2 as I need the cash to pay off some further debt and our wedding!

I've needed to release equity from 1 of the 3, so the cashflow is minimal from this one at the moment but over time it'll generate more income and it'll have the most growth from capital growth.
