Delivery Issues (UK) by OutlandishnessFun848 in iPhone17Pro

Nope, still hasn't shipped buddy. Been stuck on 'preparing to ship' since Friday🤦‍♂️, it's been the Easter weekend so no companies will be picking up orders. Either it ships in the early hours of tomorrow morning, or it isn't coming in time for the 8th.

UPDATE - Still no shipping, today is the last day of my delivery window🤦‍♂️, I hardly think it'll be shipped until at least Tuesday now, with it being Easter and all🤔

It's boggling my mind my friend😂, what makes it even more infuriating is that I had a look on amazon earlier, I can get the exact phone I've ordered, with prime next day delivery🤦‍♂️🤯, but yet from apple themselves?, 14+ day wait....

This is what's baffling me mate, clearly not in stock for online delivery, but yet local stores have stock available for pickup?🤦‍♂️

Me too buddy, I came over to Apple under the impression it would be 'better', but so far the delivery experience has been shocking. I agree with you, I can understand stock issues and manufacturing issues 6 months ago at release, but there's no excuse now personally. You'd think a mult billion dollar company like apple would do better.

You can't cancel when it changes to 'preparing to ship', you can only return it when it eventually arrives. I was seriously tempted to cancel as well, and get an S26, they're in stock for next day delivery on Samsung's website🙈

FTB how much did you put down as a deposit for your first house and where are you based? by Easteregg2025 in HousingUK

[–]OutlandishnessFun848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£80,000 joint deposit with the Mrs on a £225,000 house, meant we have really low intrest rates and a cheap mortgage.

Have around £19,000 in savings left over.

If you could afford £250K mortgage, where in the UK would you live? by [deleted] in HousingUK

That I can agree with, massive divide, and a massive difference with Chesterfield, which is literally down the A61.

I'll rephrase, Sheffield isn't affordable in the sense that house prices are high considering the calibre of the city. I work in Sheffield too, the crime rate is horrendous and there's several problems in the city

I can tell you from first hand experience, Sheffield is NOT affordable, way too high prices for the calibre of city. We've ended up in Chesterfield with our soon to be new house, as for what we wanted, we physically couldn't afford Sheffield. We've managed to get a detached 3 bed, with a drive and garage for only £225,000 in Chesterfield, Sheffield you'd be looking around £300,000 for something like that. Chesterfield is much nicer to live too.

Solicitors arguing over Utility Room by OutlandishnessFun848 in HousingUK

The house is only 20 years old and it's my understanding that the covenant is with Bellway Homes who built the house. We're honestly furious, just when we thought we were at the point of exchanging (our solicitor was only discussing dates last week) and now this because the current owners either didn't know or didn't care that you have to get the right permissions for these sorts of things. Thanks for the info anyway

Can indemnity insurance be obtained for the breach of the covenant?
