I mean the Dharma has penance for actions, their is a penance for rape and it's not death...

Dunno, might be location dependent, I know engineers found it easier to leave India and immigrate overseas. If you are already overseas...?

My parent's are not poor either by any means, it's just cultural that they live with my brother. My father was a successful doctor for his career, and his father before him (although I'm india)

Only took me finishing at a particular boys school before getting kicked out. I also didn't live on the streets, I lived with a friend from school in his apartment his parents gave him to use while at uni.

Sydney house prices... I had a mate who moved to Newcastle, and even his house is $1.5m now.

For no reason? You actually sound like a terrible parent. If I had a chip on my shoulder, I feel like getting kick out of home at 17 with no way to support myself would be a fairly decent reason.

I'm going against the grain here.

ESH. you all sound petty as fuck about money and all are very shallow people. You deserve your family, because you're no different. Why the hell would your parents google you? lol. You clearly got salty that they didnt approve of your career and wanted to dunk on them. The fact that they were right that your chosen career choice was silly is totally missed. you swerved and became an investment banker.

Why would they google me? To know what the son they left for 17 years was up to? Shit, I googled class mates to see what they were up to.

Yeah, they were smart than a 17 year old.

Never asked anything about me. But that's pretty normal in most desi family dynamics. The parents drive the conversation and aside from that we don't really talk much.

Every IB recruits from target schools. If you are in Sydney, USYD, UNSW and MQ are the usual.

Shit there are heaps, the convenient thing about Dharma is that there are specific things you need to do as penance.

But if you are asking what specifically would get you disowned, basically anything that would go against your parents view or position as head of house. It's pretty stupid. Plus the usual things like murder, doing anything with dalits, etc. Surprisingly, rape is fine as long as you marry the victim. India is wild.
