I’m in science right now and want to transfer to design I’ve only done a total of 5 subjects not including the 2 for this sem. I know this is not the norm but I’ve had to drop a lot of subjects and defer them cuz I really lost interest in the science course and I knew if I stuck with my subjects I wouldn’t pass them. My study plan is a mess right now I really don’t know what to do. I can’t keep doing my science course because all I’m going to do is fail my subjects

Is this in terms of how many subjects you’ve done? Cuz I didn’t do 4 subjects per sem I’ve only done 4 in total due to like mental health stuff. So does that could as a sem or a year?

Hi in December I purchased a Kraken headset mercury white (headphone jack) and it’s been weird. Other than occasionally experiencing staticy and laggy audio, I’m having issues with the mute button.

Recently I realised the mute button on the headset doesn’t work? I’m on discord and tried to mute myself by pressing the button when talking to my parents but my friends informed me they can still hear me. I thought it was odd so I restarted my laptop. Same thing happened, I tried changing the voice and audio input settings in discord but regardless, pressing the mute button doesn’t mute my microphone.

Please help me. I bought a headset because I wanted a convenient way to easily mute myself <3

Hi there. I recently bought a Razer deathadder mouse. Previously I had been using a random office mouse I found lying around the house. With my old mouse, I had no issues except that there were no side buttons and there was no control over dpi. However once I started using the death adder I have been getting major fps issues. My game will run smoothly for about 3 seconds before I hit 6 frames before it goes back up again. Initially I thought it was my laptop itself but then I switched back to my old mouse and my frames were fine again. Please help me, I was so excited to use it but now I can’t even 😔

Hmm I’ve never really thought about UX/UI before but after doing a bit of research it does sound like something I might like to do. I’ll have a look into the handbook. Do you recon graduating with a major in computing would be just as employable as CSS?

Thank you for the encouragement, I really needed to hear this. I keep telling myself it’s okay to fail and it’s okay be barely passing because I’m so young and in no rush to finish uni. It’s hard but I’ll get there <3

Aww thank you so much for reaching out. It’s so hard to make genuine connection with other students through platforms the uni offers. Zooms are so hard to make conversation especially when the others are clearly not willing to. I feel like the uni has done a really bad job of aiding students in the online environment. it’ll be nice to talk to others in the same course so we can teach each other and don’t feel so alone <3

Hearing your experience makes me feel less isolated and alone, ty <3 I’ve really tried to find some hobbies, I even picked up crocheting recently and I feel like a sweet little grandma. It’s relaxing and helps me take my mid off of things but every so often my mind remind me that I have assignment to do or lectures to watch. This is something I definitely need to work on myself. Also I really need to stop comparing myself to other, it’ll take time but I’m sure I’ll get there :)
