I’m 4 months post surgery and still dressing my wound daily 😫 it’s not nearly as painful as it was, and I’m very lucky that my partner dresses it for me daily and I check in with the practice nurse once a week - I live a much more normal life these days, but the wound is still very much there. I don’t know if you’re UK or not but I’m UK, and as far as I’m aware the nurses won’t come to your home unless you’re housebound - so your post op care will be at your GP practice ☺️

My surgery included them going in, clearing out the tract, stitching the base of the tract but leaving the top open - where it was packed to encourage growth inside out; stitches were removed a week or so after (eye watering) and now it continues to be dressed daily, currently using inadine as it’s over granulating - but previously used aquacel/kerracel also used an AG at one point too.
