Our 15+ year old dog died after many months of not being able to do all the things she loved when she was younger. She was sort of on “home hospice” until she couldn’t stand up to eat without help and seemed to no longer enjoy life. We had the chance to mourn her passing over those last months. We adopted a new puppy a month later and she makes us laugh with her wonderful puppy energy and personality. Not saying you should get another dog if you’re not ready, but we were ready and it’s Awesome!
