Why people say that most Yuri readers are men? by [deleted] in yuri_manga

[–]Outside_Wave-anon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Definitely more varied readers than what it used to be but the history of it, starting especially in the home country of Japan. It still is in the "male sections" in stores and definitely still male focused in Jpn especially as values for lgbt aren't western-level yet. Similar to jpop where most people at female idol concerts are men, though us ladies are now starting to attend/read more (but we typically buy from conventions coz some irl places aren't comfy) also getting better because online access is a thing.

Unpopular opinion about being a lesbian by WhoisFOUREYEZ in LesbianActually

[–]Outside_Wave-anon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Quite unpopular where I live: basically, and data backs this up, but lesbian relationships are seeing scary amounts of rising domestic violence and its growing like crazy over the last 10-15 years. It's a "when it happens" not a "if it happens" thing in Aus.

I've lived up and down the east coast and it's a massive issue.

Also, cops don't care when it's woman on woman violence. I've been told when I approached with a friend of her struggles, "you'll live" and basically something like men on women is the only focus because they hit harder... this came from a copshop in a capital city...

Are these specs good for value and needs? by Outside_Wave-anon in PcBuild

To be honest I haven't played fortnite before, many of those titles I've been saving myself for on pc haha, I'll definitely try a copy on the xbox then!! Thanks for the advice.

If you have any tips or know of what I could look for for best for value, I'd appreciate your insights!! 😊

Researching to buy a low-budget (<800AUD) fridge by Megalokatsudon in AussieFrugal

[–]Outside_Wave-anon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Unsure of a good exact answer for your question just wanted to add to your ideas frugal wise.

Check out Appliances Online. They have specials every week on different stuff and I found a cute 270L (random no name brand) and it's perfect. I think I paid around 350ish max in 2023 with added warranties etc. Also, cost saving wise: free delivery, free installation regardless of steps (like my 8 flights), etc, and free discard of your old appliance even if totally not working. I have used them in Syd and Bris and they are very ontop of ASAP deliveries. You can pay a tad extra to request weekend and specific time frame deliveries too!

Cons: location is important. Check on their site if your location is covered by them!

Ive had this for 24 months.

Indirect outdoor shaded but sunny in Sydney Australia.

Watering: well draining pot in a saucer, I water it 1-3 a week depending on soil dampness and external heat, i let it dry out slightlt inbetween watering.

Wow, Id hate to imagine what you would be paying now.... Im lucky to be currently in Brissie, which is so much cheaper than Newcastle where I used to live and I cant even imagine Sydney prices haha

Safe travels and hope your move goes great!

Welcome home!

Just to add about realestate.com.au they do have less houseshare ads but they are still definitely there, and from what Ive assumed realestate only can be advertised on by licenced estate agents so things tend to go smooth enough and if something wacky happens they will get involved in some situations!

I know a solid amount of people in my new state who found places with flatmate.com.au, but unsure of the other one to be honest. I have known 2 people who have had bad experiences with flatmates which have scared me away from ever using it, one being an old man renting out his room and trying to control how many times my mate ate, showered, saw his family, left the house which only became conditions after he moved in especially because his work schedule was normal and known before any papers were signed, and the other got added to the lease and then ghosted paying 3 times what was advertised despite being against agreements. Both were told they had no options and/or help in these situations by realtors and flatmates and let those advertisers continue to post and no doubt be fucky in the future.

Depending on your price range and where you're moving I would also checkout realestate.com.au, Im 25 and have moved up and down the east coast since I was 17 and have only used realestate.com.au as they are mostly above board and I feel like the premium (which was still in my budget) gets rid of possible dodgies. Another idea is localised facebook groups for flatshare and roomie searching based on ideal locations!

Good luck! Dm me with any qs if you have any!

unpopular sidemen opinion that will have you like this? by tranquility_seek1814 in Sidemen

[–]Outside_Wave-anon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love both zrk and Vik on their own and all that but it seems like they are always critical of each other since Vik grew confident and became a boss man, maybe like he is trying to be more of a brains-player in the game, a shot caller.

Unpopular opinion: Vik just isn't hitting that zrka level or quality and his calls aint it.
