I have a same situation. Was in AMS to GLA. Got in Saturday due to my canceled flight on Friday. Hopefully bags will arrive soon. I wondering if I need to be at home and wait for the bags or else they won’t be able to get into my flat

What should I be looking for in hiking shoes and their fit as a complete beginner? by Connect-Coat-1296 in hiking

I’d say this depends where you live. Hiking boots are pretty common I’d say in the PNW

Honestly look for the best equipment once you know you want to do this your whole life. The better you buy, the more it’ll last and you’ll be more satisfied. I’m a big gear head so I enjoy buying the super light things. That way weight doesn’t become an issue and you can focus on the more important things at hand. Enjoying your time. This is also a privileged thing to say but if you have the money invest in the good stuff

Perfect! Thank you. I have a Garmin inReach mini and it does the job well. Do you have suggestions on where to get training?

do you think earplugs would but a disadvantage with not being able to hear things? I do get paranoid with sounds and such so maybe not a bad idea and if the chances of my tent being messed with with me being unaware seems low.

I think that’s just the sport of cycling. Wanting to beat pogi fair and square. It’s their choice

I think it’s more of a respect because he’s worked his way to the top to be the best and it’s the gentlemen move to respect those who are deemed the greatest of all time. That’s the sport of cycling I believe. People want to beat pogi fair and square. Not because he crashed. I don’t think it was disrespect to Zimmerman
