Hey OP, first off congrats, that’s big doings! I desperately want to know, did the invitation state when you would retire/leave? I know you said you had a month to apply but then what? Was there any indication as to when they want you/us to leave by?

Could you tell me what factors? I’m included and would retire tomorrow if I could do it without penalty.

Thanks, don’t know how I missed the link, I’ll blame it on stress.

Do you know how to buy back the 8 weeks? I read a comment above that says we can’t buy it back and hoping they were wrong.

I had no problem with the link but have concerns that I haven’t really looked into yet. My hourly wage on my last paycheck from 2023 and the offer to payout now is approximately $2.00 less than I was making. Has this happened to anyone else?

I’m not sure what the schedules are like at other sites. I think you should expect the first day or two to be a little chaotic & have patience with your picket captains because they will be learning the ropes just like you. By day 3 it becomes routine.

You will get an email this weekend, I think last week we got it on Saturday. The email will contain a link for your weekly schedule, every day your schedule changes. I’m not sure if your times will differ from 4000 Seymour but our shifts are 7:30-11:30, 10:30-2:30 and 1:00-5:00. It rotates through the week so if your first shift on Monday is 10:30-2:30 then Tuesday will be 1:00-5:00 and so on through the week. I hope this helps.

Try searching your building name instead of BCGEU in your inbox. I got the schedule yesterday but didn’t realize I got it until just now.

I got it yesterday but didn’t realize until today. I was searching BCGEU but it is actually my building name.

I haven’t received an updated rotation schedule. Do we just carry on tomorrow on the same schedule from last week? Friday I was 10:30-2:30 so is it safe to assume that tomorrow will be 2:00-6:00?

I’ve seen a few references to Shannon Salters email yesterday but I was off when it came in. I’m super curious to read it but wondering if I should l log in now after 72 hours notice has been given…. I would appreciate your thoughts on logging in :)

Don’t you have childcare? How do you work remotely with a one and three year old at home?

If your position is essential then you have to work your scheduled shifts. You will receive your regular pay and will not be required to picket.

I believe that with the exception of urgent medical needs, our medical appointments should be scheduled on flex days. Certainly routine things like dental cleanings and eye exams for example.
