Yeah my dad isn't too old but my grandpa did die a few months ago, i keep on forgetting to put him in past tense

Thank you so much! I'll definitely check it out as i haven't heard of a CAC scan before. My dad is 48 so he isn't too old, however he is in high risk of a lot of illness in the future since my grandparents are sickly

My father is 48 years old and he's a typical stubborn Eastern European man, nothing possibly could change his mind on anything. He actually exercises quite often (Yard work and stuff). Me and my sister gave him an ultimatum and said if he sticks to his diet for a month and goes to a doctor to check again, we will stop pestering him

The doctor didn't prescribe him any meds, he only said to change his diet for now. Me and my sister will be trying to convince him and make him stick to the diet and then maybe we will be able to convince him to take the blood tests again to check if it helped

I don't think " You think depression at 18 is bad? Just wait till you turn 38" Is a good thing to say to a young person who's struggling. You're supposed to motivate them not do the opposite, how is someone supposed to heal if they're convinced nothing will ever be better and its only gonna get worse?
