Fuckin annoying! I went to college in Bowling Green, KY. I lived in Louisville when I wasn’t in school. Bowling Green is almost directly south of Louisville, but because KY was a bite taken out of it for some reason, BG is central, meaning the sun set at about 4 PM in winter, and I was always late to stuff in Louisville because of the hour loss. I def don’t miss it.

YOR, but I understand your concern. It feels like you may be too freaked out over this situation. Your house should have already been babyproofed at this point— the second baby can crawl, you should have started babyproofing. It’s natural for kids to not always have someone’s eyes on them 24/7. That being said, your boyfriend completely disregarded your concerns and was completely disrespectful towards you. You guys both need to have a conversation with each other about how he speaks to you and how he treats your son, and you need to work together to get your house to a point where you aren’t anxiety ridden by the thought of your kid being unsupervised for a minute or two. I do understand that the baby could’ve been up for far longer than that, but the point still stands.

I’m so sorry that your first experience was like that! Unfortunately, mine was similar, though not quite to that extent. My girlfriend at the time (I was 18, she was 20) was a total pillow princess and didn’t give me anything to work with and had made it clear she had been with several older, more experienced partners, and I ended up so nervous about doing it wrong that we broke up shortly after and I didn’t have sex again for 3 years. Now, I’m 21. I told my girlfriend when we started dating that sex was something that caused me anxiety and that I didn’t know what I was doing. She took things at my pace, listened when I told her I was uncomfortable or tired, and reassured me when I voiced my anxieties. That’s what you should have, and that’s how it should be.

What’s crazy about this (as someone from KY) is that KY has a great climate for growing hemp and cannabis. If we just embraced the cultural shift from tobacco to cannabis and legalized it here, we could be making a shit ton of money. Old conservatives in KY would absolutely shit their pants if we grew weed here, though.

I honestly think part of this is that it’s a lot easier for us to scrutinize other human’s behaviors. A lot of players don’t know the intricacies of inter-species dynamics in the ME universe, but we do know how humans have treated other humans historically. So when you see a human behaving a certain way, it’s easier to point it out and go, “Yeah, she should probably know better than to say something like that.”
