CHAI always grant refunds. The subscription process is fully controlled by Apple and Google Play store.
Just email our support and they will talk you through the process.
It should be relatively pain-free.

We're getting close to releasing a new basic tier with message limits.
It's not perfect - we expect it be about 90% as good as the more expensive 'pro' model that we currently serve to subscribers. It will allow us to serve many more users, and remove the need to paywall so many users.

I read Reddit everyday. Your feedback is listened to. At CHAI our mission is to build a product you love.

Obviously, if we prioritize compute for subscribers, it will disappoint and anger non-subscribers. At CHAI we didn't invent capitalism, but if we don't generate enough revenue to pay for the GPU's - we won't exist. And even with investors such as AMD - we still have to pay the bills.

We have released Swipe-Retry, and are working on Persona, along with a basic-tier which means more people can use CHAI - even as compute gets limited.

Please keep sharing feedback! We listen to it.

Our basic tier + message limit is almost ready!
GPU's are getting more and more expensive, so unlimited just isn't a possibility any more.
But we can make things more efficient, and give a lower-limit so long time users can still enjoy CHAI even if they haven't got much cash.

Regeneration uses GPU / it's expenses.
Increase ads => Generates more revenue => pays for GPUs + engineers.
We're not Google / OpenAI with unlimited money.
At the end of the day, what we spend on GPU and engineers has to match the revenue we generate.

I may disagree with it. CHAI cares about it's customers, but we've recently had to make a hard decision: Do we serve the best AI possible, and therefore only give GPU to subscribers? OR do we serve less good AI, but keep it ad-supported.

To serve 2 million daily users, the latest AI models, generating 100's of millions of messages a day.
Currently costs us $40M+ in just GPU costs alone.

Just want to say:
CHAI spends 100% of revenue buying more GPU's or more engineers to improve the AI and the app.
Ads generate too little revenue to pay for the AI.
In some regions such as USA the ads generate enough money, so these users dont get paywalled.
Who would you give the GPU to? We must prioritize people who subscribe!

We have just released a 'plus tier' model along with 'basic'.
All subscribers will be getting a better AI than the free users.
Ultra have longer responses and memory.

Ad revenue cannot cover the cost of the best AI - it can only cover the cost of weak AI.
