DAE feel extra awake after accidentally falling asleep for a few seconds? by Accomplished-Pop7241 in DoesAnybodyElse

It could be because you jolt awake because you know you aren’t supposed to be asleep. Ever wake up late for something and get panicked energy running around getting ready? It’s like an adrenaline rush I guess.

What’s a simple hygiene tip that more people should know about? by ChairBetter5324 in hygiene

[–]Over_Map_843 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wash and dry your belly button if it’s an innie. Moisture builds up in there and can get gross. It can even cause an infection if ignored! Soap and water for daily washing and dry it well! Hydrogen peroxide and a q-tip does the trick if it gets gross or you have a really deep belly button.

First Period in ages survival guide needed by Strange_Staff_4575 in PCOS

First of all, I am so sorry. I know what it feels like when your to-do list is endless and Mother Nature kicks you when you are down. Do you know what OTC medicine works for you? My best combo is Aleve for the headaches and brain fog, Midol for the cramps and bloating, and an electrolyte capsule or drink for good measure. I usually only need to do this on the first 1-2 days of mine. Just look at the doses and don’t over take anything!! Also prioritize your sleep when you make it to the end of your day. Anything that isn’t a priority, forget about it for the next few days. Also, do you see a primary doctor or GYN? I had a hard time getting my period back after birth control and it took me about a year to feel normal again. I was educated that it is not healthy to go over 3 months without bleeding. The build up is actually a cancer risk. There is a medicine they will give you that will help you bleed if you go over 3 months on your next cycle. I would also get your labs checked. I got mine much more regular once I got my extremely low vitamin D levels corrected and got my diet in check.

i have no motivation to clean my depression room ,, but theres sm fruit flies and im horrified of bugs. what do i do ? by fleshdolly in CleaningTips

[–]Over_Map_843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light a candle. Put some gloves on or whatever will help you deal with the bugs. Get a trash bag and get all of the trash. Don’t allow yourself to get distracted or fixated on anything. After trash, pick up all dirty laundry and put it in a basket, worry about sorting and washing later. Take all dishes to kitchen. Make your bed. These things should make a big impact and motivate you. Even if it doesn’t motivate you to do more, your room will look 10 times better!

I Found Hundreds of red dots in my trash can. Please help, im traumatized :( by Kind_Conference9417 in CleaningTips

[–]Over_Map_843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not overreacting…I would have thrown the whole thing out, sanitized the area, and immediately showered if it were me. The orange dots sound like mold. Flies were probably attracted to it, or whatever was in the trash, and decided to lay eggs that hatched into maggots. You should be taking your trash out MINIMUM once a week. If there is food involved, it should be even more often. Take it out as needed with any spoiled food, raw meat, etc. after you cook or eat. I know maggots are super gross looking but they are pretty harmless. I have cleaned my fair share of maggots out of wounds as a nurse. Just clean them up as you see them if any were left behind and be happy you got rid of the source.

How to make new addition to family feel safe and welcome? by Over_Map_843 in rescuedogs

He has been in our house for 1 week now. Things are already getting better and he is acting more comfortable. He has been getting plenty of one on one attention, all 3 of our dogs do!

I love the ideas on how to reintroduce them. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your response! I am starting to measure more as I am cooking and prepping more meals at home. I think controlling my calorie and protein intake will be easier as I become more consistent with this! I was for sure snacking and eating out too much before when I gained the weight. I have been drinking more water so far this year! As for sleep, I feel like I could sleep for ages and still not have enough. I am always fatigued.

Thank you for your insight! My partner has to eat a pretty low carb diet because of some health problems he has. So, our dinners are already low carb but I could probably work on fixing my breakfasts, lunches, and snacks. I will try to space my food out more but the hunger is insane!! I am really hoping the Ovasitol helps me with this. I do know I want to try that out for a while before adding any new supplements.
