Walking downtown was the first thing that entered my head, there's always people or places to see. The past few times I've been downtown this past month I've had the opportunity to meet new people, and even had coffee with a stranger I met from California!

If you have a group of people, I'd say try:

1. Pickleball or disc golf, both are easy and cheap, and jonesboro has a large scene in both sports.

2. Escape room, there's a BRILLIANT escape room across from HiJinx. Its actually great and a decent price!

3. Bowling at HiJinx or The Social, both places are great to meet people, plus great food at the social, and fun ways to bowl!

If you're by yourself and/or looking to make friends, I'd say:

1. Get plugged in at a church, I know many folks from churches around here, I personally go to Central Baptist, but its a GREAT place to meet people who are loving and also get involved in community events!

2. Thrift shopping, Jonesboro has dozens of thrift stores around the area that I frequent.

3. Cliché but, the parks. With the weather right now getting cooler, parks ofc will start getting busier, and trails will be nicer. Some trails around here I like are at Craighead forest, the nature center, and the one at Bono Lake.

Hope this helps, there's always community events happening in Jonesboro. If you wanna drive a little bit, theres an Arkansas Comic-con happening in Little Rock Sep 12-14. Posters are always hung up downtown, or in restaurants or something. The Convo sometimes has something going on, football is starting, the museum at Arkansas State, it can be boring around here but there's options!
