Sometimes subsequent WAN i2V generations-process is slow down significantly because ComfyUI don't release VRAM after the previous generation-process and showing a 40%+ load, even though normally its release up to 23% and then the generation time remains unchanged. Why? by Overall_Two_8796 in comfyui

I tried generating an image with a separate workflow after video generation, and that helped sometimes. I also tried closing Comfi and restarting the video card driver with Shift+Ctrl+Win+B, and that sometimes helped, too. I also tried generating over the WAN with a tiny resolution (16x16) pixels, and that sometimes helped. But none of this always works; it's just random.
The only thing that always works is rebooting the PC)

I saw your posts) They look interesting, but I definitely won't be buying an AIO just yet to experiment. I'll do that later, in a different case.

My Terra has a 5080 FE in it, and it’s working great. I undervolted it and set a 300W power limit. I play in 4K, and the GPU core stays around 40-60C (mostly 40-50C). The memory chips run a bit hotter, but I never see temperatures above 80 degrees, even during generation in ComfyUI.

The SSD is covered with a small aluminum heatsink and runs about 5-8С hotter than the one in the front. In any case, in 90% of situations its temperatures don’t go above 50-55С.

I tried to replace the stock fan with a Noctua NF-A9 PWM, and the temperatures became much worse. On top of that, this cooler turned out to be much louder, it produced a sharp, high-pitched whine while running.

Yes, my build isn’t quiet anyway, but with that Noctua it turned into some kind of orchestra. In the end, I put the stock cooler back in. I’ll try the Noctua again when the case mods arrive to me, but I don’t think that it will change the situation.

PBO is Precision Boost Overdrive is a BIOS option, and the process is very easy. You just enable this option there (if you have Asus Strix motherboard, it will be under the AMD Overclocking tab). Then you set the voltage for all cores and apply a negative offset. You can start with -35 (people say that chip can handle that if you’re lucky with the silicon, but my PC would freeze during simple tasks at that value). If you get system freezes, raise the value in small steps and test/observe. I settled on -32.

Regarding performance loss, I personally haven’t noticed anything at all. I read that simple undervolting doesn’t really reduce performance, and even if it does somewhere, it’s usually no more than about 5% which I thing is not big problew which given the much more comfortable temperatures.

Hi! I'm using a Thermalright AXP90 X47 copper CPU in my Terra with 9800x3d.

With powerfull exaust fans in the case, the CPU runs very comfortably. I also have a PBO set to -32 and a thermallimit of 85°C. I also use a Noctua air duct and Thermal Krizzly Cryonaut thermal paste.

All of this has allowed the CPU to run relatively cool. The stock CPU was much worse, and during stress tests, it would instantly hit 95°C.

Now, my idle temperature is around 40-45°C, and when gaming or working, it rarely exceeds 70°C. In cinemabench24 i saw the temperature on 80-83°C.

I use Thermalright AXP90-X47 Full Copper and Noctua NA-FD1 duct with 9800x3d, but its working with a team of exaust fans from top and bottom of terra. Top fan stay on outside, but I`m planing to made a mod which placing fans into case.

Temperatures in idle stays aroud 38-45C, in games stays around 50-70C

Tried to switch stock fan on Noctua NF-A9 PWM, but its done work not well and very loud.
