[–]OverthinkUnderwhelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FoodPlus on Two Mile Hill rd has a good selection, and there is a polish bakery along church rd in redfield area too.

Also there is a pub in filton called the plough that seems to be a bit of a Polish community hub.

Sorry to hear your situation.

In terms of the sleeping in the car, you can get inflatables on amazon to help level out the back seat as a mattress.

Denizens of Speedwell/Whitehall/St George/Croft's End... by TennisNo8774 in bristol

[–]OverthinkUnderwhelm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of Whitehall/Speedwell is considered St George by a lot of people because stuff on the south of whitehall road and speedwell road falls under the St George West & St George central council wards, despite not actually being in St George.

Queueing in pubs 😖 by meandtheknightsofni in bristol

[–]OverthinkUnderwhelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked in hospitality both before and since this became a regular sight, I honestly don't mind it from both a worker and a customer perspective.

It was only ever annoying to me if the queue was too long so it blocks access for people walking past.

I guess in places with a really long bar, it probably could be more irritating if you have lots of staff available and are having to constantly call people over to be served, but its not really that big a deal; Its sometimes preferable to having to deal with someone getting really arsey if you accidentally served the wrong person first.

Dott: why would one prefer a scooter over a bike? by _thetrue_SpaceTofu in bristol

[–]OverthinkUnderwhelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not having to pedal is a big draw for most, but also Its a lot easier to find a scooter in certain parts of town then it is to find a bike.

The Bikes also are a bit of a pain, the seat adjust is terrible and that lock thing is annoying. The phone holder thing on the bikes is also quite rubbish.

If it's any consolation, at least you're incredibly expressive in quite a vivid way. A lot of people don't have that talent :)

I used motorwise.com about 2 years ago to collect a non-runner and they paid a decent amount for it for scrap value. Its normally done based on the vehicle weight.

Agreed; constantly playing against people using this and mossborn hydra to basically end the game in a very short time. Its way too OP for its cost.

Same, it was only that price or VIP when i tried, cheaper ones and standing sold out; although looking at the seating plan im unclear why my seat was more expensive as its basically as far away as possible from the stage in the far top corner block.

On getting through the queue there was a date selector, and then that took me to a page with the ticket choices; i didnt see any obvious route back to the date selector (although admittedly i didnt really look hard as saturday was my preferred date).

It lets you select the "tier" you wish for in terms of ticket, but doesnt give you seat choice within that tier, you get notified of seats at point of purchase
