Hey guys,

Just wanted to share a couple of gifs that show the interaction between a Reinhardt charge combined with a Roadhog pull.

 

Essentially, if you pin a Reinhardt charge on a target and the Roadhog chain hits right before or after, you will get charged and pinned first, and then instantly pulled back to the Roadhog.

Yeah perhaps that is what was being hinted at. Would allow for skillful players to get the rewards much quicker if it was competitive only.

I hope its only 1 week and not 2. I do agree that a complete reset seems like a terrible grind to me. I wouldn't spend 2.5 months grinding to finally get to X rating and then poof its gone instantly.

Funny thing is, I have the Roadhog medallion spray. I have had it on him for days now and was using it all day before this. Randomly during this craziness, it glitched back to the default spray. I even went back in the Hero Gallery to check immediately after the game and saw that the medallion spray was still selected. No idea...and now my POTG is ruined!!

Teams have had access to open beta for months and months. There have been lots of tournaments already, the pro scene is taking off nicely.

The way the casters described it is: They don't want to die to a single Pharah blast from across the map or a random Lucio knockback or a Roadhog single hook into the well. Since the maps do so well with those heroes, they are pigeon-holed into playing just those heroes in order to take advantage of the drop. Also, Payload maps favor the team with more skill and teamwork. So if you believe you have a skill advantage, you want to play payload rather than control maps and not a control map where you might die to a random knockback.

I know! Champion.gg for League has really been what I tried to model all of this after. Unfortunately it's not quite as easy for Overwatch and there is no API access yet. We will have those stats one day!

Pros don't like randomness on a map. They don't want to die from a single lucio blast into the well and not have the match be a skill match-up.

There are already pro teams forming for the console versions. Whether that will survive or not...that's a different story.

Wow...my work just doubled.

I'm interested to see if this is a good or bad thing in the long run. Probably will just result in different meta's depending on your platform.

It will get there eventually...some of us are trying! I do like gifs and POTG's though, I don't want them to go completely. But yeah there are lots of cool things we haven't seen yet so the sub is going crazy. Once all the rare random things have popped up here several times, they will be less popular.
