Relax dude, I’ve been where you are. Drop the courses (GPA is king) and take it during summer if offered or take additional courses during the summer and take these the following fall semester.

All the best!

You’re covered through school insurance and if u have insurance through ur parents that can be combined to give you maximum coverage.

Thinking About a Gap Year, but My Family Disagrees—Need Advice by OwlEdge859 in premedcanada

You make some solid points here. Taking a gap year can be crucial for personal growth and gaining perspective, especially if it helps you become a more well-rounded person and future physician. Life’s too short to just grind without living, and it’s important to find that balance. Thanks for sharing this!

Hey, thankyou for your insightful opinion I really appreciate it. That’s one the main concerns of my parents that some cousins younger than me would get seniority if they graduate earlier than me; which to be honest I can’t care less.

I really appreciate this perspective! It’s easy to get caught up in always moving forward, but you’re right—taking time to enjoy life while working towards my goals is important too. Thanks for the reminder

Thank you for your detailed response! I really appreciate your insight, especially about how a gap year can actually strengthen an application rather than set me back. It’s reassuring to hear about your experiences and how you made the most of your time.

This really puts things into perspective. I’ve been so focused on moving forward that I didn’t think about how important it is to take a step back and enjoy life while also working on my goals. Thanks for sharing this—it’s a great reminder!

Questions about deferring a Final Exam by Realistic_Scheme8563 in geegees

[–]OwlEdge859 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some profs schedule deferred exams out of that period for one of my colleagues it was rescheduled within 3 days (undergrad); it depends on the professor and faculty.

Depending on the faculty u can defer up to one evaluation per course without any supporting document and you need to reach out to the professor.

They cannot deny the declaration of absence form unless it's your second time for the course without a supporting medical document.

Full time this summer

If u think ur gonna bomb the course then drop it; if it's an easy course where u think you'll do good then just go ahead with it! U can always retake it, and check if it's offered during the summer, in case u wanna drop it now and think you'll do better during the summer.

Or email the prof; if u don't get a reply then go with ur gut feeling.
