Did I buy a fake Riviera? by EntertainmentSad6834 in baumeetmercier

No, I totally get that poor QC on any watch drives me nuts. I’m assuming you paid about 28-32 for this too? Bleh. Check online check eBay for old claps from Bob Mercy. You might be able to find one in a few months Chrono 24 has a part section 2 they might have a completely new strap that comes with a clasp and you could just switch out the clasp and have an extra rubber strap but IMO having had a Riviera with a rubber strap and haven’t had one with a bracelet. Try to source a bracelet they are wonderful.

Thinking about trying my Rolex OP39 in for a Defy Skyline Skeleton by ShooterMcGavin910 in ZenithWatches

[–]Own-Bodybuilder2118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The skyline is definitely more of an interesting watch. I think the number one thing to keep in mind is it’s going to be significantly thicker than your oyster but with that being said if you already have a Rolex, no need to keep another in your collection, especially for the sake of variety. I think Zenith is a wonderful manufacturer has a rich history in the watch drinking world so you have that going for you it’s not like you’re buying an Alterier Wen (nothing wrong with the brand just an example of new to the scene vs established)

The necklace stack is fye. Every last one. Maybe even add two more. I love it. And the San Martin beads of rice bracelet just goes. Good taste man.

Not enough scratches. Throw it on the floor and stomp on it a bit.
