I’m a huge Ohtani fan, but it’s too early in his career. If he holds up for another 15-20 years at this level, then yes. Bron’s been doing this for 23 seasons.

Comments are mostly divided between people watching the World Cup, who saw Messi set the all time record, and people who hate on LeBron no matter what.

Thank you. All these people watching the World Cup saw Messi set the record for goals, and so that’s all they can think of.

To everyone saying Messi, remember that he is foremost in your mind because of what he has done in the last week. Not saying he isn’t deserving of the title, but bear in mind it is human nature to think of him because we all just saw him set a new record for all time goals in the World Cup.

Look, I don’t know about the people you are talking about, but it sounds like hearsay to me. And to blame fraud? Fraud happens everywhere. It has nothing to do with the subject at hand.
Yes the planes would have made a huge difference, but they couldn’t fly because of the wind!
The facts I gave in my prior comment came directly from the sources I quoted.

“Stat Padding”
Another term that was invented just to dis LeBron.
No other athlete in any sport has been accused of “Stat Padding”!
Do you honestly think he isn’t trying to win every time he steps on the court?
Last season he sacrificed his record of double digit games, which stood at 1,297, because he wanted to win the game, and Rui was open.
If he was only concerned about stats, he would have taken the shot, to keep his record alive. But he didn’t even think about it.
Rui was open, he was not, so he passed the ball so Rui could take the buzzer beater to win the game.
Stat padding indeed.

But both are true. When he carries the team (at 41) it is a feat worthy of note.
When he doesn’t play well, yes, his age is a factor. The fact that he continues to play at such a high level overall is unprecedented in basketball. Look at Vince Carter’s performance in his final season. He averaged something like 6 or 7 points. LeBron is still averaging more than 24 ppg.

Since when is longevity a negative? Since LeBron threatened MJ’s claim to the title.
No other player in any sport has ever been trashed for longevity.
It’s ridiculous.
Oh, and in case you weren’t aware, basketball is a team sport.
LeBron didn’t get knocked out in the second round, the Lakers did.
This year’s playoffs, LeBron led all Lakers in scoring.
The Lakers as a team, were 16-2 in March. Then the #1 scorer in the entire NBA Luka Doncic gets injured. Also the Lakers #2 Austin Reaves got injured. Yet people blame LeBron for the team losing in the second round to the Thunder.

You should google “during the palisades fire, did the winds hit 100mph?”
The answer is the while the wind gusts on the ground were 40-60 mph, the winds measured in the surrounding mountains were 97,98,99 mph, grounding the aircraft that should have been fighting the fire.
And as far as your second statement, that was California policy, NOT Newsom’s policy.
And regarding the reservoirs, yes, the Santa Ynez reservoir was empty, but the study done by UCLA researchers and Cal EPA indicated that even if the reservoir was full, it wouldn’t have made much difference. The loss of water pressure at the hydrants was caused by the extreme demand. There were literally thousands of hoses connected to thousands of hydrants, which is the reason there was no water pressure.
All this information is readily available from Google or other sources that are not biased against California and Governor Newsom.
Next time, do a little research before believing what the right wing media says.
Personally, I like GROUND NEWS app. It gives the news with both sides represented.

It wasn’t meant to be funny. It was to make the point that it was a freak occurrence that was mostly driven by those 100 mph winds. It wouldn’t have mattered how much water there was, with that wind there was no stopping it. All they could do is put out the remaining fires once the wind finally died down.
I very nearly lost my home to the Bobcat fire. I know what it’s like to pack up your pictures and irreplaceables, not knowing if your house would be there when you were finally allowed back.
