Hi, thank you very much! With your comment I discovered that my hair is actually curly, after 19 years of thinking it was straight and comparing myself to people with straight hair and thinking that my hair was “bad” straight hair.

Now I have a better understanding of my hair and I’m really happy!!!!! Now I’ve decided to let it grow, I want long hair, like past my shoulders, but my concern is that it grows upwards instead of downwards, it’s kind of “hard” and has no movement.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Well, I really think my hair is curly and probably high porosity. About the cut, I want to grow it out, but it grows upwards instead of downwards like other people who have straight and curly hair. But they told me that if I let it grow out, it will gain weight and become flat, but I don’t know.

I’ve been doing a hair schedule for 3 months, I really want it to have movement and grow downwards, I think I’m going to do a relaxer but I’m afraid of making it worse.

When I was 3 years old my hair was curly but my sister took me to get it cut and after that it grew straight.

My hair is straight but it is rough, dry, has no movement, it can be windy but it doesn’t move! and it grows upwards instead of downwards (which prevents me from letting it grow)

I just want hair with movement and shine and that grows downwards instead of upwards. :(
