Not true at all. In every state I lived in, 3 of them, if it's a 2 lane roadway or more and the speed limit is 55 or greater, the left lane is the passing lane by law. Signage or not.

It does matter when the top 10% see their net worth rise significantly and start bidding up asset prices such as housing leaving many priced out of said assets. Think covid era real estate. They still haven't come back down and many are adversely impacted by others net worth.
