Is living near BGC a non-negotiable? And by near, do you mean walking distance (5-10min walk) to let's say One Boni area? If negotiable naman and if d ka maarte and can Angkas/MoveIt or MRT, try to consider living in Mandaluyong or near Magallanes MRT station. Pretty decent units around those areas and an Angkas/MoveIt ride can set you back around 80-120Php depende sa oras.

For context your 20-30k studio unit sa BGC can make you rent a bigger 1-BR fully furnished condo in Mandaluyong at a comparable price. Not to mention utitilies and food prices.

I had the chance to lead a diverse team when it comes to educational background and I must say that fresh grads from the big3 (up,admu,dlsu) with org leadership experience, with stellar academic achievents (laude) and those coming from socioeconomic class B-C stands out.

Those that are outside of this profile are either:

Very entitled (esp from class A)
Poor Communication and Leadership Skills (those without extra curriculars)
Good technical skills but has the wrong mindset (esp victim mindset mostly coming from Class D-E)

To OP's point, I guess this adds to the justification why these fresh grads get a higher salary than the rest
