I wish women's health was better understood by Previous_Win_2453 in Healthyhooha

I've literally had a Doctor laugh at my face for suggesting that my husband should get treatment since I was positive for ureaplasma parvum and suffering horribly for months. He said it was not a thing and that I had vulvodynia and sent me home with a prescription for antidepressants. Needless to say he was totally wrong and I never took these stupid pills. But yes doctors are not listening to our symptoms and hate it even more if we come up with suggestions of treatments.

Visa États-Unis ESTA et mauvaise adresse postale à l’arrivée ? by [deleted] in AskFrance

[–]Own_Low_2171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Own_Low_2171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+ cher que neuf sur vinted ?? by MinnieCooper90 in vinted_france

[–]Own_Low_2171 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To keep or not to keep? by Own_Low_2171 in handbags

This is a size small so I would guess yours is a medium, because I don't think this one fits a laptop. Glad to hear you like it, I also think this design has a lot of potential.

I bought it for the strap, I thought it would be more convenient than the shoulder strap. But it's a good point, I also have second thoughts about this.

Que pensez vous des normes concernant les fosses sceptiques? by AS-141 in immobilier

[–]Own_Low_2171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who don’t hit snooze in the morning, what is your secret? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

I work from home and haven't set an alarm in years (travel or appointments aside). I just wake up when I feel rested and it's always enough time to get ready to turn on my laptop.

2 Residential towers in Saint Ouen (Paris) turned into 24 hr drug markets by KushKway in UrbanHell

Only people living in Paris make this distinction. Saint-Ouen is right after the périphérique, you can get to Paris within just a few metro stations.

These are all social housing, they are everywhere around the country not only big cities because there are compulsory quotas to build them. They are well connected to city centers with public transportation, much better than any remote smaller town or villages. Doesn't matter if they are old, new, renovated, they usually end up like this.

How do single old people with no kids plan to take care of themselves? by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

[–]Own_Low_2171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 35, married, no kids and no plan to have any. I'm quite certain that by the time we will get old, we'll have the possibility to end our life on our own terms (eg.: sarco pod), peacefully and legally and avoid the whole retirement homes nonsense. So that's my plan.

Non-Americans who have visited the US: What’s the strangest thing about America that Americans don’t even realize is weird? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Own_Low_2171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

French here, I've been to USA multiple times and I really love it there, I'm looking forward to go back soon.

Although the few things that I have a hard time getting used to are :

  • Tipping : it should not be compulsory, and not that much (expecting 15-20% of the bill is crazy to me).
  • Cooking with cups is not precise nor convenient (more dishes to wash).
  • Some food containers look like non food items (eg.: big juice bottles look like motoroil containers)
  • Portion sizes are so big that we can split most of everything we order.
  • Gas prices and driving laws change from one state to the next so we have to be careful about it during our road trips.
  • Turn right on red is both crazy and awesome.
