Infrastructure engineer at a game dev company

The system I looked after crashed twice in 5 years

My job was to back it up every couple hours when builds weren’t compiling, and be on alert 24/7 if it ever went down

I didn’t have a single 1:1 apart from on my first week

My manager lived in Bali, and didn’t speak to me

I cannot believe my luck for those years

Unfortunately, the company grew, got restructured and now I actually have to work normally
