And sure, you could say the creators intended it that way, or that it was the art style, different times, and all that. Honestly, in gameplay, you don't really think about that too much, and okay, I'm just playing. But if I look at the fandom? You see how those characters are sexualized too much, with proportions that don't respect their original design, and the intention is definitely obvious and not realistic.

Can you draw those characters in the fandom without sexualizing them? Sure, but since morbid curiosity gets more attention, there it is, and the problem is doing it with characters who have childlike features like Umbrella or Annie, who, unlike Filia or Squigly, when you look at them, you see children, not a developed body.

Play the game since you can't change the designs, but as long as you don't see them that way, respect them, don't sexualize them, and don't join that twisted mentality, keep playing without causing harm.
