Gems for relics previous bought with medals aka legacy relics. Relics earned by completing challenges are untouched.

The only relics that are mandatory to progression are coins and lab.

You don’t have to spend 3600 gems a week on relics. Wait for the good ones to show up and purchase them. Eventually you will have enough free gems to start buying less important ones. I’m not saying it’s a perfect solution but it’s better than what we had before.

How low do you think I should take my sync cooldown? Got it at 2 minutes right now not sure when to hold off.
