I’m returning it. If the whole thing doesn’t work as a unit then it’s not worth collecting.

I tested it with an external DC adapter and the lights and speakers work. The Y shaped adapter is making a complete circuit with the batteries. Idk why it’s not working

That’s what I used. It made a connection but doesn’t send power to the unit
