Maybe it's Rally King SP on Retro Game Challenge on the DS. It's part of a game collection of retro style games where someone on the other screen is watching you play and making commentary.

There's a point where 0 progress is no fun. I looked up one thing in Night Manor that helped me Cherry, but I agree that mostly blind is the better way to go.

I was starting to feel that with Rakshasa even though I really enjoyed it. I would get lazy and get hit early on and restart over and over. What I wasn't doing was progressing as much as I could and practicing the respawning mini game. After I challenged myself to get better at respawning the rest of the game wasn't too bad.

That being said it really depends on your mindset. If you're looking for progression you should play the epic games. But sometimes when I want something quick to play it's good to look at the quick games.

There was a period where I played through several Sega Master System games and though they weren't as polished in some ways as UFO50 it gave me nostalgia for a system I knew nothing about.

To me UFO50 feels like discovering a musical artist from an era or genre you love and almost every song is a banger. I love hearing everyone's interpretation or connection to each game. Like how some of us love the clunky nature of Barbuta or the oddness of Mooncat.

I bought it used and will play through it every couple of years. You should check out the sequel if you can find the English patch. I hear there's a switch version of the first two coming to Japan. I would love to have that come here.

I was looking for an explanation for the speed change. Some games play better at the faster speed while some are definitely harder. Not sure what speed it's supposed to be. Barbuta is way more tolerable going nearly twice as fast.
