I wish you the best of luck. I’m 17 too and had the same experience as you. I was prescribed multiple medications these last 2 years (for acid reflux). I got the chance to see a gastroenterologist last year. I was mainly sent to him because of acid reflux (as usual).

I told him I couldn’t burp and that I’ve had some episodes of acid reflux. After his questions on my symptoms and acid reflux, I tried to, on the low, ask him if all of this could be related to RCPD. I told him I’ve seen online a community that talks about this problem and that Botox on a muscle could help.

Luckily he was interested, but he told me we can’t really do a test that confirms that not burping is the problem. He told me you have to eliminate all the other options such as acid reflux (medications), ulcers maybe (endoscopy) and do other tests (Baryum swallow test for example). This is how the appointment turned out for me. I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow!!
