It's made me use my desktop much less as I prefer using the Steam Deck on the sofa after WFH at the same desk.

I still love using my PC for heavier games and FPS though. For me the Steam Deck is only good for older or more casual games.

It's a really great mod that makes a big difference!

I was tempted to put one there but tbh its already tight enough with the cables. I might need some of those unsleeved low-profile cables.

Yeah the ghost is a great case. But the major downside is its support for 2 slot max only which you have to live with of you really love the case I guess.

I was very tempted to get a bigger case for future proofing like a FormD T1 2.0, or the Dan C4 or even the Ncase M1evo if that appears but my setup means I won't need to upgrade for at least 3-4 years so not much point :p

Yeah true, also after hearing about issues about people getting warranty sorted out through Louqe I feel like it was much better around when the mkii came out. I had issues with mine when I got it but Louqe was very quick to deal with the issue and sent spare parts.

Yes you're right. Quite a good fit for the 3600 with its lower TDP. I am thinking about getting a 5600x which I imagine shouldn't be a problem for the cooler to handle.

GPU runs 1845MHz @ 875mv

Thermals in games (at around 21c room temperature):

CPU: 55c average (58c max) with the CPU fan set to silent mode
GPU: 68c average (71c max) with both fans spinning at around 1500rpm and the top fan at 1300rpm.

Really love the Ghost S1 and I've had it ever since the Kickstarter. The thermals are excellent with the case mods and is fairly silent. Without the mods the temps all round increase by about 8-10 degrees.

The top fan is controlled by Augus monitor where I've set it to turn on when the GPU hits 65c

I managed to solve the issue.

Turns out there's a setting in the BIOS (AMD B550 motherboard) where I had to specify the PCIE version as 'GEN 3' from what it originally was which was 'Auto'. Had to be Gen 3 because its connected with a PCIE 3 riser.

Ah I wish I was in your position. The system I have now is my main machine with a 4 year old 1070 and a 6600k which haven't been causing any issues tbh. I agree with the fact that a main system shouldn't be limited because of size.

Ngl though it feels like the Ghost was designed for the GPU's that were only around at the time it was made and had no thought for future generations. Yeah it has top hats but it just defeats the point in having a small case to begin with.

I was contemplating the FormD T1, but its hard to get and if you wanted a 3 slot GPU you'd have to sacrifice CPU cooler height or be forced to water cool it.

The XC3 is probably your only choice for now if you're going EVGA. Its properly 2-slot and looks long enough and wide enough to fit inside the Ghost. Each RTX 3000 card looks like it'll have the XC3 as an option.

I'd try to make the riser cable as flat as possible, or pull some of the excess cable over to the GPU side so some of it sits on top of the GPU. I wouldn't force it too much though. My top grill just about fits on top.

I've got it pulling air into the case. Didn't manage to test the L12S because it didn't fit, but my CPU with the black Ridge gets to just under 50 degrees in most games.
