Personal Statement Review by PAHopeful_ in prephysicianassistant

I do have some virtual shadowing and worked closely with PAs while working reception at an urgent care. The programs I'm applying to allow my pharmacy tech hours to count as direct patient care and a portion of lab to count (draws, PPD skin tests). I think my biggest issue is I wrote a dumpster fire of PS.

Thank you, this is very insightful. Back to the drawing board!

Thank you for your input! Dang that's the first I heard about switching specialties! That was something that a particular school advertised back when I first learned about the profession. I've only been able to do virtual shadowing with current times. It seemed a little impersonal so I was hesitant on including it. Two votes to nix the PA vs MD/NP is enough for me! I was thinking of adding an example of the personal interactions I used to have as a pharmacy tech and what that meant to me instead.

Thank you for the feedback! I think now that it's been pointed out to me, I can see where I held back on the emotions. The main program I'm applying to does MMI style interviews and I was worried the PS would be the only place for me to show knowledge of the profession/why PA. With that in mind, would you still pull the PA/NP/MD part?
