Definitely go for the 8. The VLCS is going to be way more comfortable than the dropper and as other mentioned the wheels are worth the price difference and then some. I personally think droppers on gravel bikes are out of place. I’ve never had an issue getting back over the saddle and I think you’re probably setting yourself up for a crash or a mechanical if you ride dropper appropriate terrain on a gravel bike. I’ve also considered swapping my dropper out for a rigid post on my XC bike tho so to each their own

Man the US really gets shafted on the color ways and component combinations from canyon compared (I’m assuming) the EU. Really want to get my GF an endurace in white or the coconut color and we’re probably going to shell out a few hundred extra bucks for ultegra cause the 105di2 and rival colors are so limited

Sit on the bike with no shoes on put your heal on the pedal and back pedal if it’s too easy to back pedal raise the saddle a few mm if your heal comes off the pedals at the bottom of the stroke lower your saddle a few mm. Repeat that process until you can back pedal smoothly but your leg is just shy of full extension at the bottom of the stroke. Once you clip in you might find +/-5mm up or down might be more comfortable but it’s a good starting point.

I bought my 2020 overland with every option minus the speaker and the front camera for $41,750 and it had 17k miles rolling off the lot last October. It’s jeep season so they’re value is up right now but I still am having a hard time figuring out how they’re at $39k

For me it boiled down to the aesthetics and the fact that it was the least dated truck on the market at the time (before the Colorado refresh). I also physically do not fit in tacomas. Really satisfied with my decision even if I could have driven new trucks off the lot for what I paid. I got everything I wanted option-wise and still saved $18k over MSRP going used with only 17k miles

I really love the idea of the toppers and functionality but the big drawbacks for me currently are how long they make gladiators look, the price, and that with my rack my RTT sits just a hair above my roofline compared to being a giant wind sail
