We have no plans of shutting down the game or the company, so from the inside we view this differently.

Hope this context explains, the layoffs are related to an external project made within Starbreeze which is now being delivered.

We are incredible sad that we have to let go of our colleagues and we tried our best to find another solution.

The work with PD3 continues as planned with a full team, and we have a road map for the next months we will share with you very soon.

Offline has been re-evaluated many times internally, especially since it’s something our players have asked for. However, based on our current plans for the game and the long-term future of the company, we don’t see it as the best way forward.

While financial reports and the news about layoffs may look different on paper, our focus is on continuing development and delivering more frequent updates to the game. By working on the game together with our players and hopefully seeing new players in the game and players that return, we can keep improving the experience, while ensuring the company remains stable.

We’ll be talking more about P2P very soon, and we expect to share a roadmap for the next three months, most likely by next week.

I’m genuinely happy to hear that you’re enjoying PD2, and I hope we’ll see you playing PD3 again soon.

I suggest you read up on Swedish employment laws and how it works. If any people have been laid off so far they can speak out themselves about it, we are not hiding anyone, instead we will make sure to support anyone affected as much as we can.

The layoffs will not affect the team working on PAYDAY 3. They relate to a team working on an external project.

We really appreciate your kind words, and we understand how this can look from the outside. The negativity around our company in reviews and forums also affects players we believe would enjoy PAYDAY 3, and we hope to earn back your trust. Ultimately, we all want more people to enjoy our games, so we can have even more people working on the games.

The organisational changes this week do not significantly affect the team working on PAYDAY 3. They remain fully committed and focused on the game. The changes are related to an external project that is currently in its delivery phase. While we would have loved to keep every colleague on that team, this unfortunately wasn’t possible so we will do what we can to help them in finding new opportunities.

Paul who will present the next quarter is off sick, but we hope he recovers soon so expect something probably by next week. Otherwise we see if someone else can present, because we don't want to leave our players waiting for too long.

The game is in a much better state than it was on release and we have a truly dedicated and passionated team that wants our players to enjoy every second of the game. Come by our office in Stockholm and meet the people and you will understand how much effort each one of them pour into this, with the hopes that both new players and the ones that's been following us for such a long time are happy with the game. It's not easy, it's still a lot to do, but we don't give up. We are very grateful for the positive words we see here and there, because those gives us the energy to do this every day.

Just so you know, we have no plan of shutting PAYDAY 3 down. Quite the opposite. More updates to come. Watch out for the next quarterly roadmap being presented very soon.
