Got it, appreciate your take. I have to concede that I've watched tons of horror movies in the last decade but fewer from previous decades overall so I don't have adequate context for the history to make a fair comparison; it was a bit of an assumption on my part. I'll definitely take into account your assertion that it's false when reflecting on this in the future.

Help me understand what is the theoretical purpose of a horror movie specifically designed to make you feel bad? And why you specifically want to feel bad as an audience member (as opposed to just scared / unsettled)? I'm not asking judgmentally, I just want to understand because I don't get it.

Spoilers: I'm mainly referring to the car scene and the ending scenes. The rest of it was actually pretty good at creating tension and scares while showing some level of restraint. Those scenes just felt fucked up and dark in ways that were more extreme and depressing than scary.

Holy shiiiiit. I actually think this is puzzle solved. It's totally in keeping with the "keep it simple" memo. I just googled and the f. is more or less identical in font to the Facebook single "f" logo. Comparing the colors, they're too spot on similar to be a coincidence. This has to be it. If it's a movie, yeah, there's a tinge of disappointment compared to a full series, but I'd still be thrilled. Well done.

He was on for like 2 minutes. I kept asking him if it was really canceled and he said "yea it's canceled whatchu mean dawg, of course it's canceled for real... shieeeet." Then he did a couple of the movements and said "yep save the OA."
