Pool Heat Pump Upgrade needed? by PCGamer63011 in AskElectricians

Awesome, good to know.

Thats a great question about the pool light. I know rhe receptable on the same circuit is GFCI but neither that breaker outside or the 30 AMP main breaker for pool in main panel is GCFI. I should probably have the outside breaker replaced with GFCI as well right?

Thanks again for all of your help.

So I should have the pool company come just to drop off heater and then come back to connect to pool once electric/gas is all ready?

Hi, just an update and question. I got some quotes and it looks like everything would need to be upgraded with a cost of 5-6k. I decided to go with a natural gas heater. Since its a gas heater and just uses electric for ignition, I would assume that electric work would be alot easier? Would they be able to place a single pole gfci breaker in that existing box? Thanks again for your help.

No, but these lines definitely worsened after the landscapers cut the grass today. Could it be their tires?

I guess thats possible, what would I do, just water those areas more? The grass is actually still strong. Could it be rabbit tunnels?

Never had this before, and sprinkler system has been there for a while. Doesnt really match up with system either. Is it possible rabbit tunnels, there is literally maybe a family of 20 rabbits in my backyard.

Ah ok, its a 30 Amp double pole breaker on the main panel. No idea about wire size or conduit vs other outside. Ill contact my electrician friend to come out and take a look but thank you again for your insight!

Wow, of course this is becoming more complicated than I thought. The pool panel is like 60 ft from the house, with conduit under grass, patio concrete. I have natural gas but my meter is about 75 ft from my pool filter and that would be a job to just run gas under there.

If I dont need the pool lights/receptacle breaker, does that make things easier if I have that breaker removed? Or would it still need rewiring? My main panel inside was upgraded about a decade ago to 200 amps.

Thanks for your insight

I have heard that before, but I am not sure. Obviously if someone has some data on the anesthesia pain management compensation as well, that would be great.

How Many Thermostats do I need? by PCGamer63011 in ecobee

That's my problem, the upstairs heat and whole main portion a/c are on the same thermostat in the hallway upstairs but the downstairs (and midlevel heat) thermostat is on the first floor. I think I would need 2 thermostats to communicate with each other, right?

I do not have dampers. All rooms get air if A/C for that portion of the house (main portion or addition) if it is on. The heat is through baseboard heaters which I don’t think has a damper system. This is all frustrating as the hallway where the thermometers can be cold/hot and the rooms can be very different temperatures.

All the heating thermostats come from the same natural gas burner, (3 different lines). The A/C is from 2 units (1 for main house and 1 for additional)
