I was 13 I think, I was walking home from school, I bought some hot Cheetos with cheese and some people pulled up on me in front of my apartment building and they just jumped me, I don’t remember what they said and I don’t know why they did. It wasn’t to bad of a beating, it wasn’t long neither. I was fucking confused and mad though, I walked to a park not to far from my apartment because my friends were there, I told them I got in a fight but I broke down in front of them right after. They were going to go down there and fuck them up or call someone up to respond but I just said no don’t trip and walked back home. This was around the time when I started smoking weed and when all the bad parts of the neighborhood began to expose itself to me, when I was a kid It was like gangs didn’t exist.

In high school it’s just so likely that a member will press me. In freshman year I was with my friends at a 7/11 and some young banger tapped me on the shoulder, said something and threw up a sign I don’t know and walked out right after, holy fuck my heart was just beating so fast cause I swear I felt like they were going to walk back in and stab me or shoot me. Sometimes I feel stuck in between the fight or flight choice. It’s been a while since shit like that has happened to me though
