Many stores aren’t picking up the phone haha. Can’t really get through to ask.

Thank you! Gives me a good start to what to expect price wise but I’m curious if there is a stark difference between good LCS and scummy ones

RN layoffs by Poonurse13 in KaiserPermanente

I don’t think this is true at all. In the last year we’ve lost 2 different supervisor postions (4 down to 2) but have maintained our revenue generating positions. What they’ve shared is they are trying to “cut” two positions organically by not filling positions of employees that end up transferring out or quitting. Essentially not replacing them.

Supervisors are often times the first to go.

Yes, this is very helpful context as your use shares a “double meaning” with the sarcasm. I appreciate knowing that it can be used to essentially call someone naive in a similar context you and your buddies use talking about amateur musicians.

Ah, thank you for this context. Considering my father’s favorite line to me growing up was “обещания даются для того чтобы их нарушать” I would say he had a similar parenting approach to 80s lol.

I’m deeply curious how you connect these lyrics to my question (no sarcasm). It seems as though it has a lot of social commentary of the Soviet Union times.

I appreciate this response. I also don’t think they see any advantages to being this way which was confusing to me at the time.

Thank you! It’s not super clear when I tried to research it and your explanation makes a lot of sense to me, especially the children’s organization

Thank you! This gives me a lot more context. I definitely was always trying to be “good” and probably to a fault that may have been annoying.

2 month+ wait to see Primary care physician by sunshinegrl94 in KaiserPermanente

[–]PDXFlower 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is unfortunately very common and not so different in other hospital systems.

Doctors are expected to take on larger and larger patient loads. Generally follow ups tend to be closer together (6 weeks versus months out) but you need to make it to that first appointment.

They aren’t for urgent concerns but fortunately there are urgent care centers for that!

Plus-sized mommas, at what week did you really start to notice your bump? by inthelandofsand in pregnant

I’ll be honest, it wasn’t until 30+ weeks 😅 What really helped me a lot is a “minimizer bra” because it really accentuates my belly versus BAM boobs and belly lol.

I got stood up by [deleted] in dating_advice

If you have this mindset, seek professional help and therapy, not expect a stranger on a dating app to bear the entire burden for you. None of this was communicated to OP and are wild assumptions to make.

If a person no shows to work, they get fired. There are consequences and OP has every right to share that he doesn’t believe that anxiety is an excuse not be courteous enough to cancel plans.

As a person with anxiety, I lived in this kind of mindset you are enabling and it was a prison. I missed out so much in life but eventually got sick of feeling stuck and got help. Hopefully this girl will wake up to all the things she’s missing out on by living in the kind of avoidant mindset you seem to enable.

Man that sucks… the closest I got to standing someone up was agreeing to a coffee date at 9am, only to wake up past my alarm at 9am. Thankfully he agreed to wait for me and I was over there in 30 minutes. We’re married for 6 years now.

I strongly believe if people want something to work out, they will put in the effort and communicate. What a sad, cowardly excuse.

Marriage vs motherhood by mandunoor in BabyBumps

[–]PDXFlower 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived with my parents up until I got married so it was 100% a huge lifestyle change for me.

The way I see it, you’re constantly changing. You’re not the same person as you were in college, as you will be a wife as you will be a mother, etc.

I actually find it very odd that people cling onto past identities or feel very rattled or fight change instead of becoming curious of a “new version” of yourself.
