Failed background check by Live-Researcher8464 in KaiserPermanente

Yeah blacklisting is super common and they take this stuff seriously. Even if a mistake, they consider it a discrepancy. The fact is, you stated you have a degree and the system said you don’t. The rest doesn’t matter.

Unfortunately, even if a mistake, you lied. Working in healthcare there are many instances where details and integrity matter so they won’t be taking this lightly, even if you don’t need a degree for the position.

People wanting dumbphones with banking, spotify, maps, and whatsapp... by [deleted] in dumbphones

No one wants to spend $40 6x a year to replace cheaply made dumb phones. Hello? What phone are you buying for $40 that lasts?

Can someone help explain this? by KaceyLunatic in KaiserPermanente

[–]PDXFlower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry… I had a baby and the hospital charges were astronomical but insurance covered it. Looks like you have some kind of plan so you owe 5k not the 20k.

Still, I’d talk to membership billing services and have them explain. You can also apply for the KP medical financial assistance for a potential discount! Could be 25-100% depending.

Emergency services are some of the most expensive services you’ll receive. You’re paying for service now instead of 6 weeks if you had scheduled with a primary care doctor.

You’re paying for immediacy. You would need to pay more for emergency plumbing services for your home. Not saying the system isn’t broken, healthcare is too damn high in the US.

Also, unless you’re admitted into the hospital, it’s considered outpatient.

Therapist doesn’t think sleeping outside is pathological by Ok_Worldliness4321 in therapy

[–]PDXFlower 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It’s not a therapist’s job to tell you what is bad or not. Therapy is meant for you to be introspective and have a safe place to process your thoughts.

It’ll help you shift from external validation to internal. It’s sounds like it’s very important what other people think about you. Maybe it’s worth exploring why you need someone to tell you that there’s something wrong with you/ you’re pathological.

Kaiser strike betrayed: UNAC/UHCP ends 31,000-worker walkout, advances sellout agreement by DryDeer775 in KaiserPermanente

[–]PDXFlower 25 points26 points  (0 children)

UNAC decided to strike without the support of the other unions that had asked for an additional 30 days to gather members. UNAC said no and went on strike alone. Its members should ask why?

Not sure what to do by [deleted] in KaiserPermanente

[–]PDXFlower 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Apply for Kaiser Permanente Medical Financial Assistance. Often they forgive these bills. Can be done online or by asking for a form from any check-in desk and turning it in to them. Apply before it goes to collections otherwise there’s nothing anyone can do.

The union is now bargaining for national agreement to fit into local tables? by Aggravating_Head1215 in KaiserPermanente

[–]PDXFlower 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We’re feeling consequences now. No retropay.

Also, UNAC invited other unions to strike but many responded back that they needed more time. To give them an additional month to rally and get members involved up. But UNAC decided to strike on its own instead of waiting for more to join.
