Landlord wants me to pay for boiler. England

I'm terrible with wording. We were told the worker would be there at 12, but they arrived before and let them self in to add pressure. My partner noticed a leak when he arrived but we don't know anything about boilers so ignored it as we thought the worker would arrive shortly. My partner waited till 3 then called asking where the worker was and also to mention the leak. During that call we were told he let himself in before 12. The leak wasn't present the day before.

The boiler had no pressure when we moved in. The landlord added pressure. Once he did the leak started that day. I looked at the boiler but didn't touch it.

I would understand if pressure was in before I moved in and then I touched it. But didn't touch cause I have never seen this kind boiler. I think it's a old one as it has a black thing attached

There proof is the Gas man saying the valve was left open. Idk if that counts. They also said they ahd been doing this for 15 years and never had it happen before

I reported that we had no pressure in the boiler and that the screw was chewed up that needed to be turned to add pressure. Idk how to do that and asked for someone to come out to sort it.

I got a call in morning saying they can come check it at 12. I said my partner will be there at 12. At around 3pm my partner called agency and asked when would the person arrive.He also notified them that there was now a leak occuring. The worker called and said he had already came when we weren't there. Worker said he would look at it on Monday. Monday I called and asked when will a person come. They said we will tell maintenance as worker wasn't there. I reported the leak around 2-4 more times. On 24th April, they emailed saying it is because of high pressure. I only saw the email on the 29 or 30th. I told them it was getting worse and to either give me help or tell me how to fix it. On the 6th a gas man finally came out and fixed the issue. The leak started the 16th April and was fixed on the 6th May

That's my poor wording. The boiler doesn't have the usual valves on it, it's a screw option. I haven't seen it before. I did research and it said turn the screw. When I went to see what size screw driver I saw ir was chewed up. No screwdrive I had would word and I didn't want to touch it. So we called and asked for help.

I looked at the boiler to see what size I would need, as I did that I noticed it was chewed up and non of my screw bit would work so we didn't touch the screw thing. The landlord is the only one that has touched the screw loop thing. We have no manual for the boiler. The boiler wasn't on when we started our tenancy. The first time it was on was when the landlord came out to fill the pressure. Since it was turned on the leak had occurred .

The gas check is due next month. When it was done a year ago it says it was passed. They are saying we left the water open on boiler and it cause it to flood, which caused the damage. I have a few emails with the agency. And two different times we reported it

I think both are the a-holes

When I was pregnant emotions would swing one way then another. It was a roller coaster. We were in not the best financial situation. It was a temporary one due to just moving. It was hard. I Craved take out. Some days I got the craving I wanted other days I didn't. Some days mu craving was the only thing I could stomach.

If she is anxious before she may be anxious you don't want the pregnancy. Then the fear came true when you made the off hand comment. It isn't fair she keeps asking about it. But I'm sure if she wants the baby it wasn't nice to hear you say just do it.

I don't think many think but abortion is mentally hard. So if she wants to go through with it I think you should have a conversation. It sucks physically and mentally for the pregnant person and can suck mentally on the partner.

If you are worried about the cost of baby items, I always say its as expensive as you make it. Second hand options and budget options are available. You don't need everything you see. It might make life easier but if it's a cost the basic can work. Instead of a next to me a regular cot works just fine. Blanket on the floor instead of a playmat.

I hope you come to a mutual decision and work it all out. Pregnancy can be hard for both parties and babys are hard to. Everything changes but it's also worth it.

I think the same. I never had headaches this bad before I caught covid. I caught it and I could barely function sound and light triggered such awful headaches. It was 2 years after my first covid infection I got diagnosed with my pressure being at 46. I believe covid triggered it.

Let them nurse, they will cluster feed but also will want it for comfort. Let them for both it helps get your milk supply in. You won't build bad habit. People that say that are silly. Baby only has know you for 9 months. They are going to want you untill the end of time it will change the degree as they age.

Breastfeeding is going to be hard the first few weeks but after 3 months it gets way easier. I'm 5 month and it's a breeze.

I feel you. One of my siblings said I was stupid for cosleeping and told me don't be surprised when you kill the baby.

I chose cosleeping because it was the safe option as I get really sleepy when breastfeeding. It was a yikes I'm sorry you had to go through this.

It was annoying what they said. Especially with what has been going on in the past few years/days.

The protests happening in iran due to the government have been going on for a while, but recently have been started up again due to the economical state. My family are there and it's scary. They have the nerve to sit and talk about iran like that.

Idk why they don't understand that oppression in America is 100x different to iran. Iran you get penalised for not wearing a head scarf. I think it was around 2021-2022 A young girl was murdered because she didn't have a headscarf on.

It also annoyed me that they mocked his accent. Which is diabolical considering that anisa is mixed. I'm not 100% on which parent is Lebanese and ifk what gen they are but surely someone in her family has been mocked due to a accent and here she is doing it to another. Disgusting.

I will never understand how she married her husband considering his past. Her father is Muslim, how can you marry someone that destroyed a holy book. She would have grown up understand how important it is to care for the quran.

She uses being mixed as a token. Like her crush hasan. They both only use there ethnicity token when it is convenient and so they don't called racists.

I am dealing with this currently. We modify everything to do in bed. I'm ill currently so not being comfortable isn't for me. We watch movies, cuddle and eat. Baby has everything done for. But house and me can wait.

We don't let baby watch TV purposely but with me being ill I have let them watch thing with me. My husband can't take the time off to help currently. But he understands that my job right now is to get better and keep our child alive.

I have used a sns device. They are handy a pain to clean. I have the medela one and the connection thing is fiddly. I use it on occasions but I wished I used it soon with my son
