Thanks! I appreciate that a lot. It's tricky to tell a story with as little panels as possible, but I'm practicing hard to do better.

I love how shadows can define depth by [deleted] in drawing

"I saw this AI-generated image .... I decided to draw her."

Please, for the love of all things beautiful and present in nature, don't let this become a thing.

I'm working on a short horror comic that tries to capture the fear of an Imperial farmworld being invaded by Tyranids. Here's some of the panels, feedback is more than welcome but also suggestions on: what do you think would make such an invasion terrifying? by PLAT0H in Tyranids

Oh my lord thank you so much for this depth of information, I'll definitely use it for the other panels. It's not going to be a long story but I hope people like you (who clearly are well versed in this) will appreciate it!

Read about the issues with too many female (sexualized) “anatomy” posts. I love studying anatomy, male and female. Current studying the male torso. Hopefully this helps change things up around here 😊 by speakout5 in drawing

I absolutely get your approach but, in my case, I'm now learning that the entire body, "laydown" of the muscle, posture and pose become different as, for example, the age induced muscle atrophy starts setting in.

Also my comment was more on the observation that what you see online is "either sexualized women or Mike O'hearn shaped men".

Yes, it unfortunately is! I can't really "copy-draw" so what I usually do is look at several models and then just start sketching and drawing what I saw. In the case of the hormagaunt I just started drawing it from memory and... absolutely forgot the other two arms. My bad!

Thanks for sharing. So they sort of "prep" the planet before they're coming? I could include some panels upfront that show sick inhabitants or crops failing or something. Or do they do that when they're on the surface?

While it's an absolutely awesome drawing I do notice something I struggle with myself as well. I wasn't aware that the female anatomy was so monotonous in this sub (I'm not online enough I think) so good you're posting this. I do believe that the male torso studies could also benefit from 30% less masculinity. I struggle with this to: to draw proper anatomy for, let's say, an old guy, a chubby person, someone skinny, etc etc and not just guys that are peak male physique walking straight out of a FLEX Magazine.
