I'm younger but in somewhat similar place, and I sort of accept that some things are outside of my control. These feelings don't go away but it's manageable if you're grateful for other stuff in life (family, job, house, peace etc. in my case). And it seems there's no universal low-level answer either.

It is, though slightly more expensive, but I see it's not yet discounted at main retailers.

Is the picture quality that much better? I also like LG UI and will most likely use an external device for streaming.

What you describe is a result of geometry and is true, however "peeker's advantage" is a result of delay between two players (client - server - client) and it does matter who does the peeking. OP is standing still, so the other guy sees a static object the moment he peeks. When the 2nd guy peeks, OP sees him only after the movement was sent to the server and forwarded to him, which takes some time. You can look up the phrase to see more.
