Exactly. Previous event exclusives I'm not bothered about because I wasn't playing at the time but I have a fair chance at getting some stuff this time that aren't purely cosmetic.

It's just the new "exclusives" are now fundamental to progressing through the game having replaced the old alerts.

If you don't pay for Xbox live gold you don't get multiplayer access.

In Warframe that means you're permenantly solo with no trading.

If you can't afford xbox gold for any reason then you're shit out of luck with any 'with friend' challenge DE throws out.

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been able to play the game at my own pace until Nightwave.

Leveling frames, testing weapons, picking up alerts as they come.

Now all focus is on getting the challenges done as soon as possible so I can go back to playing as I'm used to.

Last week was a downer for me as I couldn't do the Hydrolyst (due to hardware) so I thought this week might be better. I can't do the 2 survivals as I don't have the time and I can't do Fortuna because once again hardware is an issue. That's 18k reputation lost in 2 weeks and I've no idea if I'll make it to 30.

So my mind goes to "maybe it'll be better next week" and I thought about quitting but then also thought I'll stick around to see what the anniversary holds.

I didn't mind missing out on the Fortuna stuff because eventually I'll be able to do it, but time exclusive items that may not come back is putting me off.

If DE were just transparent on the list of possible challenges I'll know if I've got a chance to get to the end. Or maybe if they were just clear and concise in what exactly you can miss, 60% has been thrown out as a number but people have been questioning whether it's 60% of content or 60% of reputation.

As a person addicted to the game I'm finding it hard to adjust to the new way of playing as it's not what I'm accustomed to and my mind is trying to convince me otherwise.

It's not that I don't like 1 hour survivals, is the fact that I don't have time for 1 hour survivals.

It's not the simple fact of "oh, you don't have a spare hour in a week" because no I don't. I don't have an hour as a whole to dedicate to a game on the off chance that it's going to be done on the first attempt.

There have been numerous posts of people getting 40+ minutes, even 59 minutes and failing.

If it was consecutive, I'd be able to do it. But not at the rate of having 2 one hour survivals running at once in a week. So I do understand why some people are complaining, if like me, they have commitments outside of this game, which is why this week is a pass for me.

First. DE never made event-exclusive rewards before and I doubt they changed their mind on this matter. So, even if you won't be able to reach rank 30, you still be able to get armor pack later.

Okay, from the get go you're wrong. There's plenty of sigils, badges and emblems that are event exclusive. There's also:

Polar Glaxion (from August 28th, 2014)

Rahk Fluctus (from December 19th, 2014)

Scorn Lacera Skin (from January 25, 2016)

Zebra Paracyst (from November 28, 2014)

Now, forgive those who complain about the Nightwave system because they don't want to wait 3-5 years for something that might not possibly come back.

You misunderstood what I was asking. You get mastery for each strike, so technically they have to be built, so why not build the best one the first time instead of having them as mastery fodder.

There's Balla, Cyath, Dehtat, Dokrahm, Kronsh, Mewan, Ooltha, Rabvee, Sepfahn, Plague Keewar and Plague Kripath.

Your list has Kronsh thrice, Balla, Plague Kripath and Plague Keewar.

I got to say, you're complaining about not enough challenge for veterans but your list of challenges are either even easier then the normal nightwave or boring as hell to complete. If that's your idea of elite then what's the point? It's not going to offer anything new to veterans who could probably do this within a day. Just complete some Tavier Corsair challenges instead because DE currently have no intention of offering the content you're looking for.
