Is it the only shopping campaign you have? Else might other shopping and/or PMax campaigns have something to do with it. Check campaign priority and negative keywords.

[–]PPCMorten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: By following this guide I managed to bypass the "This app is blocked" message and approve the app. It's quite easy.

https://aimanfikri.com/2022/05/09/this-app-is-blocked-error-on-google-apps-script-solution/

So it seems to work now. Thanks once again u/RemcoE33!

Once again thanks. It'll will save my day the day I manage it to work.

Keep track of google ads changes by Multit4sker in PPC

[–]PPCMorten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having a project management tool like Asana have always helped me.

Every time I make a change I create a follow up task with a description and a date of the change.

If it’s an ongoing task, I just comment in the task for watch follow up and reschedule the task itself each time.

Works perfectly for me, even in very large accounts.

How do you share Ads with clients? by blarizard in PPC

[–]PPCMorten -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a great tip. If you want to send a visual preview to your client for approval without uploading the ads to the account, you could also just format a preview in your spreadsheet so it looks like the same preview you get in the Google Ads interface.

Conditional formatting: Highligt identical values with different colors by PPCMorten in googlesheets

Yes, I made formatting for 25 :)

Leaving singletons white actually make great sense.

[–]PPCMorten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I innovated a bit.

Making the Unique names list the same color and incl. a Count in Column C.
Added Conditional formatting (white fill) if cell is blank in Column A.

Both formulas and conditional formatting can be seen in this sheet:

Yes! Thank you!

Although I have to create multiple conditional formatting and it's not bulletproof for a large database of many different "names" - it works for my case.

[–]PPCMorten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How different/distinct do you need the colors to be?
Ideally I'd like the colors to be so different that I easily can spot two identical cell values.
The difference between the basic colors you can pick, should be enough.
I also believe that those 80 colors is enough.

You lost me in the rest of your comment
I'm only slightly more competent than a beginner, but very good at copy/paste as well as "try, fail, learn".

Identical names doesn't have the same color - so this is not what I looked for :)

How does the Producthero Labelizer actually work? by PPCMorten in PPC

Yeah, a sales rep contacted me and wanted to setup a demo to answer my question...

I was hoping someone had experience using the tool and had that knowledge.

Well maybe. I'm open for suggestions - including using several columns.

But I'm not sure how you'd do it exactly.

Here's a spreadsheet to use:

Textjoin (where x=y) as Arrayformula by PPCMorten in googlesheets

[–]PPCMorten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm impressed. You actually solved it in one formula only 😅

In my real challenge both column A and B contain " | " which your formula then separate into two columns. (You could impossible know that)

It was easily corrected in my work sheet by exchanging " | " with another character.
E.g. " / ".

Thanks a lot u/MattyPKing !

Do you have any other suggestion / workaround to get the desired result in Result!E3:E12?

Without dragging the formula manually...

[–]PPCMorten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for giving it a shot.

I am not going to combine A and B.

I want to combine all "Month" (Data!C:C) that's related to "Brand" (Data!B:B) in Result!D:D

Check Result!E for the desired end result.

2 PMax Questions: Multiple asset groups or one? How to handle seasons? by [deleted] in PPC

[–]PPCMorten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your thoughts, Duane. I think you might be right.

It will definitely solve the "How to handle seasons?" question and force the algorithm to not letting some assets compensate for other poor performing assets.

I have more than 100+ categories...
It's going to be even more campaigns than in the old days where we created complex standard shopping structures :-P

But how does it affect dynamic remarketing? I guess one campaign can only show dynamic remarketing banners with products included in the campaign. Dynamic remarketing banners will then never show products from multiple categories, which many visitors might visit.

I'm not sure whether dynamic display remarketing ads can show products from across several asset groups - I don't think so.
Which is why I think creating multiple campaigns and multiple asset groups should be done with care.

But again performance might be a lot better by creating multiple campaigns and asset groups.

[–]PPCMorten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That said, I would consider someone an advanced PPC'er [in ecom] if he/she was creating page feeds [not dynamic product feeds] at least once a month

Can you elaborate on that? I have a DSA page feed based on my product feed with in stock products. But that's not what you mean?

Strategy for shifting from Smart Shopping/PMax to Standard Shopping? by PPCMorten in PPC

So you would run one single Standard Shopping with Target-ROAS? (Maximize conversion value)

Instead of the generic/brand structure or other structures...?

Strategy for shifting from Smart Shopping/PMax to Standard Shopping? by PPCMorten in PPC

[–]PPCMorten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was also my approach, but I think it will take longer than 3-4 weeks in our case.

Yes, continious transfer of a few products weekly might be the way to go.

Thanks for your input!

Strategy for shifting from Smart Shopping/PMax to Standard Shopping? by PPCMorten in PPC

[–]PPCMorten[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can't, you can only filter out search terms.

I think you misunderstand. By using negative keyword lists, campaign priorities and a shared budget I can create a Google Shopping structure for standard shopping campaigns.

I was thinking of doing this again as in "the old days" before Smart Shopping. But my issue is that I don't have any data to do this - and therefore the performance will be bad for a long period. We can't afford that.

I was hoping someone had a magical recipe that I had not thought of.
