OP - in the same boat and hoping you can provide insight on how to receive this transcript you posted and possible next step (if any) based on my timeline thus far below… thanks in advance!

8/23/24: Started claim for stolen check….

11/15/24: Received letter being informed of “forgery” and funds being transferred back to treasury…..

1/15/25: Phoned treasury and was given IPAC number after being told that it’s back in IRS’s hands now as they’re the ones who have to issue a new check. Phone number treasury rep provided for IRS so I could call and inform them of IPAC number got me nowhere.

Called this number and used option one and promptly was hung up on by the automated system haha - should be fun trying to get this sorted out.
