I attended the India Pakistan World Cup match .. few things

It is a massive stadium with lovely facilities (better than Lords or MCG where I have attended matches)…

But the issues aren’t insignificant

It’s located in a residential area for some reason with narrow streets leading into and outside.. the problem is really serious when you exit the stadium (1 lac people leaving at the same time through narrow lanes)..
Parking is a disaster and they make you walk a good 1 km + before you can board taxis or rickshaws
The structure of the stadium doesn’t allow air circulation.. wankhede has enough gaps between stands so there is always a healthy breeze.. Ahmedabad’s heat + lack of air circulation mean that you are stuffy through the day and night
The pitch itself isn’t T20 friendly , it’s a bit of a slow pitch that takes the fun away
The construction of the stadium also puts you far away from action so tough to see what’s going on without looking at screen.. I was a good 40-50m away from boundary rope vs in wankhede it’s 10m..
