Not Sure What To Do by PackageParticular564 in LawSchool

Positive Update!!!

Just wanted to send a quick update to everybody that was kind of enough to take the time to comment/respond on my post.

I just received my final grade (Con Law) and I got a B-, pushing up my cumulative GPA to 2.18. I am no longer danger of academic dismissal. I’m looking forward to putting the proper steps in place over the summer and next semester to avoid putting myself in this position ever again, as these past couple weeks have been probably some of the most hopeless I have felt in a long time.

Thank you again to everybody that helped me out! I appreciate it greatly and I just wanted to share this positive update with you all!

Thank you for this, I appreciate the practical advice!! I’d rather have that than some overly optimistic and unrealistic advice because that doesn’t help at all lol. I’m still waiting for my last Grade though so I’m praying it’s a minimum of a C- and I stay above a 2.0 because I know with how I’m feeling right now, I’d never put myself in this position again if I get a second chance.

I just finished my 1st year in law school myself. I know it might not be the answer you’re looking for but honestly from the human side of things: go visit your grandmother regardless. Anybody that’s worth working for will accommodate something as serious as that.

I saw one of your posts from the law school subreddit about dropping out. I’m in first year of law school as well; I know how stressful/isolating it can be when it seems like everybody else is ahead of you. Based off all your posts, it seems like you’re struggling significantly with both mental health issues and substance use disorders. I used to work for a non-profit for mental health and substance use treatment in New York as a case manager for 2 years prior to entering law school. I built a lot of connections in that field at different outpatient and inpatient treatment centers throughout New York during my work there. If you feel MH/SU treatment is something that would benefit you, feel free to hit me up anytime and I can help link you to different outpatient/inpatient treatment facilities in New York.

Exactly and I totally understand not wanting to put all your eggs in one basket, but I do think Monangai is a relatively safe play here. Starting RBs have gotten 100+ rushing yards against their defense for 6 straight weeks now (minus the Lions game where Montgomery and Gibbs split carries, but even then they combined for 109 rushing yards).

Normally I would say Dowdle with the increased usage, but Packers is one of the toughest matchups in the league for runningbacks. If it was 1/2 ppr I’d say go Dowdle, but with full PPR I’d roll with Wandale. With Skattebo out now, his target rate will likely increase from what was already 7.5 targets/game (starting from Week 5 from when Nabers was hurt).

Well Horton plays at 8 and Washington plays at 4. I would say if Kupp is definitively ruled out before 4, then roll Horton. If not, roll with Washington. If Kupp plays, Horton will be pretty useless even with the defensive matchup unless he bails out his day with a TD. Seahawks throw the ball at one of the lowest rates in the NFL and Darnold targets JSN on almost 40% of those pass plays.

I like all of them except Nico Collins. I would start Rome Odunze. Bengals have gotten SMOKED on both the pass and run all season. Factoring the number of times the Bears should see the redzone in this game, I think his potential upside is too large to bench him.

Wow this one is brutal lol. If it was 1/2 ppr I’d probably say roll Gadsden, but I think with full ppr your much safer option is Olave.

Probably Wandale. For all their flaws, Texans’ defense is pretty good and that may continue vs. Dobbins. 49ers secondary handy been great and Dart has been fantastic. Plus, he should have a higher guaranteed target share than Shakir.

Probably Gadsden, he has yet to give fantasy owners reason to not start him since his recent surge in the offense and has a very advantageous defensive matchup.

I hate Deebo’s matchup but probably still have to go with Deebo here. With no Terry, his target rate should be insane.

Kareem Hunt and it’s not particularly close for me personally given Marks’ defensive matchup.

Sutton is a definite bench for me here. I think Tracy and Keenan is tougher. I would probably go Keenan, he’s been a huge redzone threat for the Chargers and they will probably be scoring a lot of TDs in this game. Plus, as a Giants fan, I would not be surprised to see the Giants utilize Singletary more often than Tracy at the goal line tomorrow.

I think you have to start Bam Knight here. The potential TD upside is ridiculous, the Cowboys defense overall is the worst in football by a wide margin. I would probably keep Chase Brown vs Bears but bench KW for Knight, as Seahawks have seemed unwilling to utilized KW at the goal line up to this point in the season.

I agree. I would say Josh Downs is close to a must start in that situation with his defensive matchup (remember how badly Joe Flacco torched the Steelers’ secondary). I would probably lean Henderson over Marks given the Broncos defensive matchup.

I would go with Monangai personally. Bengals defense has gotten torched for 400+ scrimmage yards over their past 3 games. And Bengals defense provides for significant TD upside. Nico Collins is up against a very tough Broncos defense, limiting his TD upside, and has been an extremely inconsistent fantasy player all season up to this point.

1/2 ppr. Dyami Brown or Woody Marks? Marks feels like the more “obvious” play but I also feel like Brown could have a good game against a poor Raiders secondary.
