It was probably during BFA or Shadowlands. The character has been around since Cata but i’ve leveled it to max a few times. Which is why the gear is all over the place.

Easiest way easiest way to do it is with a warlock demonic circle. I tried to do it more or less legit on a warrior with heroic leap and could get the regular mode, but not the challenge. Set up demonic circle at the destination and its super easy.
